On July 26, 2022, the Primate of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine received Ukrainian soldiers, defenders of the Motherland, in his residence.
Archpriest Mykola Hopainych, a deacon of the Bila Tserkva district, also took part in the meeting, the OCU press service reports.
His Beatitude discussed with the guests the ongoing full-scale Russian invasion and the inter-denominational situation, as well as honored them with church awards.
“We march in a united front because this is a hybrid war. On the information front, the enemy is actively fighting against our Church, history, and culture. Therefore, we must continue to fight and believe that with God’s help, victory will surely come,” said Metropolitan Epifaniy.
