The lowest number of parishes of the UOC MP, which have transferred to the OCU, are located precisely in the east and south of Ukraine, which is suffering the most from the ongoing Russian war.
Political scientist Oleg Posternak published on his Facebook page a map of Ukraine, which shows in detail the share of UOC-MP parishes, by region, who have transitioned to the OCU.
The political scientist noted that there are indeed changes in the religious composition of Ukrainian society in connection with the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, but they are far from uniform throughout Ukraine.
The largest number of communities switched from the UOC-MP to the OCU in the west of Ukraine, in second place in terms of this share comes the central part of Ukraine, but in the east and south this share is too small. In particular, not a single parish moved to the OCU in Crimea and Kherson region.
It should be recalled that the Spiritual Front of Ukraine administers an interactive map of transitions from the UOC-MP to the OCU.
