A young priest from Dnipro, Bohdan Kaplun, has died in combat.
This was reported by Ukrainian writer Anastasia Dmytruk, Censor.NET reports.
“A priest who went to defend his native home… A warrior, who is a role model for bishops… More than one generation has to pass for such a man to appear again. We bid farewell to our best people… The world will remember you, Bohdan Kaplun!” Dmytruk stressed.
Priest Bohdan Kaplun changed his cassock into a military uniform and deployed in the front line to defend Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The man’s Facebook page states that he had earlier moved from Odesa to Dnipro.
From the post of his friend Oleksandr Ratner, it is known that Bohdan was killed at the front on July 16.
“Bohdan left behind his three-year-old dog, the shepherd Phil, who has now become an orphan. A young, handsome, wonderful man, formerly a priest, he voluntarily went to the front about three months ago. When we said goodbye, it seemed to me that I was seeing my son off, and hugging him, I held back tears, realizing that we might not see each other again,” Ratner said.
