As a result of multiple shellings, the Sviatohirsk Lavra was destroyed. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church announced this on its Facebook page.
“Destroyed buildings, mutilated territory, traces of shrapnel on the walls of temples, as well as shattered windows,” the statement reads.
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church reported that it was possible to deliver humanitarian aid from the Donetsk diocese to the Sviatohirsk Lavra.
However, the UOC-MP doesn’t mention that it is the Russian military that has been shelling the Sviatohorsk Lavra.
