“Despite the fact that hostilities are not over yet, it is necessary to work now to restore peaceful life in Ukraine and Donbas. I am confident that our prayers will be heard, and a long-awaited and lasting peace will be achieved. I have no doubt that Russia will make the necessary efforts to create this peaceful life, in which the main principle will be to preserve unity between peoples, based on mutual understanding,” Cyril said on May 17, addressing the Russian Federation Council.
It should be recalled that earlier, Cyril lied that the Russian Federation didn’t seek to capture any territories, while at the same time, the invaders were planning to hold a sham “referendum” in Kherson region on ceding from Ukraine. He also called for praying for Russia so that there would be no world war.
In early May, Moscow Patriarch Cyril lied that Russia “did not attack anyone.” He said that the Russian military had “chosen the right path,” and again voiced words of support for Putin’s aggression.
