Petro Oleshchuk, a political scientist and Associate Professor at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, gave such an assessment of the latest statements of the Synod of the UOC-MP on May 12.
In the wake of the statement, issued by the ROC in Ukraine (also known as the UOC-MP), the following became obvious to the expert, according to his Facebook post:
1) They are under Moscow’s full control and will do nothing about it so all is being done totally consciously and voluntarily;
2) The messages they voice also come from Moscow in the form of “narrative instructions”;
3) They are taking part in a psy-op targeting Ukraine, which aims to incite hostilities within the country, on which, apparently, someone in the bunker is now counting;
4) Another goal of the psy-op is to make Ukrainians have guilty conscience, making them think they have somehow “provoked” the bunker psycho.
5) At the same time, they have permission to “moderately criticize” Moscow authorities, but without specifically pointing to the aggressors and criminals.
Anyone with experience in analyzing propaganda texts can see all this.
