Metropolitan Mykhailo of Lutsk and Volyn during a sermon at the end of the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Trinity Cathedral on the 33rd Sunday after Pentecost spoke about the realities of modern life.
The archpastor emphasized that today, while being aware of the laws of God, we often ignore them. We consider ourselves the masters of our lives and think that we know better, often forgetting that this isn’t the case. After all, “God is the master of your life! And his laws are perfect,” the bishop said.
“We stay in this earthly world only temporarily, and we enjoy the benefits that God is giving us. Therefore, we shouldn’t forget that all this belongs to Him and that we must live by His rules.
“It’s only sins that are yours in this world, everything else has been rented,” says Metropolitan Mykhailo, urging us to return to the true rules of life, as the Lord has commanded us.
