On Sunday, January 9, a new Ukrainian musical record was set in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
At a village Christmas fair in Bohorodchany district, 4,471 people were simultaneously singing a Christmas carol entitled “New Joy Has Come.”
The representatives of the Ukraine Book of Records have confirmed the record in the category “Mass events and art,” zaxid.net reports.
“To promote Ukrainian traditions during Christmas festivities, a Christmas fair was held, which set a Ukraine record: the largest number of people singing Ukrainian folk carols at the same time,” said the representative of the Ukraine Book of Records, Tetiana Rozvadovska.
The previous record for the mass performance of carols was set in Drohobych in 2017. At that time, 828 people were caroling simultaneously.
