On November 23, 2021, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, met at his residence, the Metropolitan House, with the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Liashko.

Archbishop Evstratiy (Zorya) of Chernihiv and Nizhyn also took part in the meeting.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the epidemiological situation, the vaccination progress, and the legislative consolidation of medical chaplaincy issues. In addition, the interlocutors shared their views on transplantation and artificial insemination, challenges of hybrid warfare, and cooperation in various fields.
Special attention was paid to the topic of palliative care. In this context, Metropolitan Epifaniy briefed the head of the Ministry of Health, Viktor Liashko, on the activities of the Department of Social Services of the Kyiv Metropolis, which deals in particular with the free transportation of children suffering from serious diseases.
