    OCU Archbishop takes part in Chernivtsi celebrations as Ukrainian soldiers arrive home from warzone

    The hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Archbishop Onufriy of Chernivtsi and Kitsman, took part in the celebrations held on November 22 on the occasion of the arrival of the 8th and 108th separate mountain assault battalions from the Joint Forces Operation zone area to their permanent base in Chernivtsi.

    The archbishop was accompanied by the Orthodox Church of Ukraine’s military chaplains.

    That’s according to the OCU press service.

    The military marched through the Chernivtsi center carrying portraits of their fallen comrades-in-arms. The military also shared the memories of their combat missions with the local civilians.
