Ukraine’s new Consul General in Istanbul pays visit to Ecumenical Patriarchate

On November 16, Ukraine’s newly-appointed Consul General, Roman Nedilsky, visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.

The consul’s meeting with the patriarch was also attended by the consul’s spouse, Liudmyla Nedilska, as well as the staff of the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s General Secretariat. In addition, Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon was present at the meeting.

“The consul was received by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, with whom they had a long conversation in a cordial atmosphere,” Phanar’s press service wrote on Facebook.

It should be recalled that the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy, had a phone call with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
