The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifganiy, earlier this week consecrated the throne and the church named in honor of the Holy Apostolic Princess Olha in Kyiv’s Desnianskyi district.
Archbishop Agapit (Humeniuk) of Vyshhorod co-led the service, attended by clergy and the general public, that’s according to the OCU press service.
Following the service, Metropolitan Epifaniy congratulated the local community on the holiday and on a significant event – the consecration of their new church. The head of the OCU also awarded the founder and builder of the church, Petro Holovatenko, the Order of Archangel Michael, I degree.
