The last day of February marks the birthday of an extraordinary personality, a wise, just, sincere, kind and truthful spiritual leader, a tireless ascetic of our time, the First among the Primates – Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
This is stated in the address by the Primate of the OCU.
“…[W]e – on behalf of the fullness of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine – express our heartfelt gratitude for the comprehensive assistance and support for the Ukrainian people, we express our high respect and offer fervent prayers on the occasion of the 85th birthday of Patriarch Bartholomew,” the greeting said.
Metropolitan Epifaniy wished the patriarch good health, inspiration and power to strengthen the great Church of Christ, work for the glory of God, and to help people, for the establishment of peace, unity and justice throughout the world.
