The deputy head of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, believes that Russia’s “sacred goal” in the war against Ukraine is to “stop the supreme ruler of hell.” On his Telegram channel, Medvedev published congratulations on the Day of National Unity, while answering five questions that he had formulated himself.
Medvedev’s statement was reported by Radio Liberty.
To the question “What are we fighting for?” Medvedev replied that Russia is fighting “for all its people, for its land, for its thousand-year history,” saying that it does not need foreign territories. He did not explain why Russia annexed Ukrainian territories.
In response to the question “Who is fighting against us?” Medvedev suggested that “a part of the dying world” is doing it, including “a bunch of crazed Nazi drug addicts”, “a large pack of barking dogs from the Western kennel”, as well as “a diverse pack of grunting pigs and short-sighted people from the crumbling Western empire.”
“By rising up against them, we gained sacred power,” Medvedev declares.
He also criticized some unnamed partners who “freaked out”.
Medvedev suggested that as a result of the war, “the rotten world order will collapse.” When asked what Russia’s weapons are, Medvedev answered: “We have the opportunity to send all our enemies to hellfire, but that is not our task. We listen to the words of the creator in our hearts and obey them.”
The word “Ukraine” is not used in Medvedev’s video, and there are no mentions of a “special military operation.”
Since the very beginning of the Russian invasion, Medvedev has often threatened Western countries. He mentions the Apocalypse, Armageddon, uses other biblical allusions, and has also repeatedly hinted at the possibility of Russia deploying nuclear weapons.
Recently, a number of high-ranking Russian figures – from Patriarch Kirill to the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov – have come out with statements that Russia is fighting in Ukraine against “Satanists” or the “Antichrist” himself.
