On May 17, 2022, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine handed over humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian soldiers who are defending their people from Russian aggressors on the front line. In addition to basic necessities, mattresses, blankets, and other items were transferred to the front.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Metropolitanate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU).
Assistance from His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy will be delivered to the hotspots by the Hospitallers Battalion, commanded by Yana Zinkevych. According to the medical battalion, mattresses and blankets are now essential because they allow the wounded to be covered and taken to a safe location to be provided medical assistance.
Metropolitan Epifaniy blessed the activists with the Hospitallers Battalion and wished the Lord to protect and help them and all the defenders of Ukraine.
