ROC calls right of choice major problem of modern society

Putin’s ruling regime and the Russian Orthodox Church under its control are making a titanic effort to impose slavish thinking on the people of Russia and eradicate from the minds of Russians the idea of freedom of choice and other democratic values.

At least that is the opinion of Vladimir Legoida, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church’s Synodal Department for Church Relations with the Public and Media.

“Modern man believes that he has the right to choose anything in general – from clothes to gender. He does not take into account his own mind. People, of course, differ, and so do the motives for their actions, but if you look at it culturally and philosophically, it is a manifestation of the intention to ‘choose anything.’ This occurs when a person becomes for himself the ‘alpha and omega’ of all his actions, thoughts, and actions,” Interfax-Religion quotes Legoida as saying

According to the ROC official, this happens if a person “does not have a tuning fork, according to which he adjusts himself, but has only a desire to choose, which will be different every day and often does not relate to morality or reason.”

Of course, it is an integral part of the current ruling regime in the Russian Federation to influence people to make certain choices. Unfortunately for the Russian nation, the Russian Orthodox Church, instead of performing spiritual services for the good of the people, has become nothing more than an instrument in the hands of Putinists, who aim to gain the exclusive right to control the lives of every “subject.”
