Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, who are part of the Holy Synod, which is in session these days at the Phanar.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy reported this on X, Ukrinform saw.
“In Istanbul, I had the honor to meet with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and members of the Holy Synod. I expressed gratitude to His Holiness for prayers for Ukraine and support for the Peace Formula. They discussed Ukraine’s spiritual independence and support for Ukrainians abroad,” Sybiha said.
In addition, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, paid a visit to Turkey on October 20-22.
Earlier, the Ecumenical Patriarch called for the reign of peace in the Middle East.
