Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy, addressed Ukrainians on the Day of Remembrance of Donetsk Airport Defenders.

“On January 20, we honor the memory of the ‘Cyborg’ heroes who manfully defended the Donetsk Airport for 242 days in 2014-2015. Their feat became a symbol of the indomitability of Ukrainian soldiers,” Metropolitan Epifaniy emphasized.
He expressed his gratitude to the fallen defenders, as well as medics and volunteers. “Their battle was their last one, but their feat is immortal,” the hierarch added.
The Metropolitan also praised veteran soldiers who continue the fight against Russian invaders. “The Church stands with you! Together we will win!” stressed the OCU Primate.
