Metropolitan Epifaniy hands over aid to Ukraine’s defenders

On March 6, 2024, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine met at his residence at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery with the South unit fighters who are part of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army’s 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade and the Raven Group SpecOps unit.

That’s according to the OCU press service, Ukrinform reports.

Metropolitan Epifaniy spoke with the defenders about the effort to repel Russia’s full-scale attack and the current situation at the front, thanked them for their dedicated service, and handed over drones, thermal imagers, first aid kits, portable chargers, camouflage gear, and other necessities.

“I hope these things will help you protect our people and Motherland. May the Lord protect you, give strength and inspiration to walk this difficult, but rightful, sacrificial, and noble path. We pray for you every day and believe that with God’s help we will inevitably achieve victory and just peace,” the OCU Primate said.
