On November 1, the head of the OCU met at his residence with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate at the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov.

The meeting was also attended by Brigadier General Dmytro Timkov and Deputy Head of the Synodal Department of the Military Clergy for International and Interfaith Cooperation Archpriest Kostiantyn Kholodov.
Metropolitan Epifaniy discussed with the guests a number of topical issues. In particular, it was about the ongoing fight against the Russian invaders and the liberation of territories temporarily occupied by the aggressor, and comprehensive, and especially spiritual, support for Ukrainian soldiers.
In addition, the Primate of the OCU thanked the defenders of the Motherland for their selfless service and honored them with awards of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
