Novinsky spotted in Zurich holding Sunday service in Russian church

adym Novinsky served at the Sunday service in the largest Russian Orthodox church in Zurich on April 2.

This was reported by Radio Svoboda.

It is about the “Church of the Resurrection of Christ” of the Russian Orthodox Church in the very center of Zurich, which was consecrated by the head of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill (Gundyaev) on December 15, 2002.

According to media reports, Ukrainian flags and a portrait of Zelensky were hung around the church.

Novinsky said that he had no permanent residence at the moment, having come to Switzerland from Germany. Currently, he does not plan to return to Ukraine to support the vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Pavlo (Peter Lebid) because, according to him, criminal cases have been initiated against him.

When asked what he was currently doing, he replied that he was “working for peace in Ukraine.”

The Verkhovna Rada terminated the mandate of MP Vadym Novinskyi in July 2022. In December of last year, the SBU published a list of 10 persons who were included in the “church list” of NSDC sanctions. Among them, in particular, was a cleric of the UOC (MP), ex-MP Vadym Novinsky and the then-vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Pavlo (Petro Lebid).
