Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and sacerdotal archimandrite of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, will perform a festive divine liturgy on the occasion of Christmas at the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
The appropriate permission has been obtained, the press service of the OCU reports.
The service begins on Saturday, January 7, at 21:00 local time.
It should be recalled that late December, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve administration informed the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (in unity with the Moscow Patriarchate) that from January 1, they will not renew the contract for the use of the Dormition Cathedral and Tabernacle Church in the Upper Lavra.
