On December 12, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine received in the Metropolitan House the leadership of the Ukrainian World Congress.
The president of the UWC, Paul Grod, First Vice-President and head of the Commission on Religious Affairs Stefan Romaniv, and the chief of the UWC Representation in Ukraine Serhiy Kasyanchuk visited the residence of the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, reports the OCU press service.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the challenges facing Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people caused by a full-scale war on the part of Russia, as well as the issue of attracting comprehensive international assistance to Ukraine.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy told the distinguished guests about the activities of the Metropolitan Fund and the social service of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
In addition, the parties discussed support for Ukrainian refugees abroad, the religious and inter-confessional situation, state-church relations, as well as comprehensive condemnation of the pernicious ideology of the “Russian world”.
