On September 18, the UOC MP parish in the village of Ostriv, Kyiv region, voted to join the Orthodox Churсh of Ukraine. The decision was taken unanimously.
This was reported by OCU priest Oleksiy Melnychenko.
“I sincerely congratulate residents of the village of Ostriv, who today, September 18, 2022, decided to leave the Moscow Church and become part of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The vote was unanimous,” the posting reads.
It should be recalled that on September 17, the newly-transitioned OCU congregation and their priest entered their church in Zazimia, Kyiv region. Over the past 6 months, a total of 25 parishes in Volyn region officially shifted from the UOC-MP to the OCU.
