Ukraine is negotiating with Poland to close its borders with Belarus. In addition, Ukraine is asking Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia to close the borders with Belarus and Russia at the same time.
This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Andriy Deshchytsia, who spoke on the air of a national telethon.
According to the ambassador, Ukraine is negotiating with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland, with the Government of Poland in order to ensure that the borders are closed completely, even if the decision is not made at the EU level.
Deshchytsia said that Ukraine also appealed to Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia “to close their borders with Russia and Belarus at the same time.”
“I think this decision will eventually be made. Then we will not have to wait for the European Union, and we will completely block any deliveries to Russia,” the diplomat said.
