On March 27, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, met with Minister for Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina.
Metropolitan Epifaniy spoke about the Church’s interaction with the military, emphasizing that spiritual care, prayer, and the service of chaplains are important to them not only now, but also after they complete their service. “Through its ministry, the Church contributes to victory and shows concern for our defenders and gratitude to them,” the bishop said, according to the press service of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
“Both now and after our victory, we’ll have a lot of joint work to do with the Church, with the chaplains. Thank you for your spiritual support to our soldiers and all the people. Your prayers and words are really inspiring,” Yulia Laputina said.
The Primate presented Yulia Laputina with the Bible, blessing her for further work.
It should be recalled that Metropolitan Epifaniy recently visited the Kyiv City Medical Center “Academy of Human Health.” He stressed that the Russian missiles are striking targets in Ukraine with the blessing of the head of the ROC, Cyril.
