The pro-Russian Club of Crimea Friends in Greece has appealed to President Katerina Sakellaropoulou to refrain from participating in the Crimean Platform summit in Kyiv.
That’s according to the Information Resistance outlet referring to Crimea. Realities.
The signatories are members of the Greece-based Club of Crimea Friends who urged the leader not to attend the summit as “we all understand what will be institutionalized at the summit in Kyiv: there will be an attempt to create a new aggressive axis of the Cold War of the Euro-Atlantic countries.”
The president did not publicly respond to the appeal.
Information Resistance recalls that earlier, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar said in an interview that Russian diplomats are “threatening” the countries that have agreed to take part in the international summit Crimean Platform.
On May 20, at a press conference, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine noted that representatives of 30 countries would attend the Crimean Platform summit. He also said that Russia “finds it difficult to accept” the Crimean Platform.
