Government lifts quarantine restrictions on church attendance

The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on June 16 ruled to ease quarantine restrictions by allowing mass events to be held without the need to observe social distancing rules, including in churches and theaters.

That’s according to Minister of Culture and Information Oleksandr Tkachenko, lb.ua reports.

“Now holding mass events (cultural, entertainment, religious, advertising, etc.) in indoor premises is allowed at 100% capacity, without restrictions regarding social distancing. However, participants and organizers of the event shall use protective face masks or respirators. If all those attending hold negative results of a COVID-19 test run no more than 72 hours prior to the event, or a document confirming the full course of vaccination, the above restrictions shall not apply,” said the Minister.
