On March 14, Ukraine marks the Ukrainian Volunteer Day \u2013 even more so, this year. That\u2019s according to OCU Primate<\/a> Metropolitan Epifaniy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho would have thought that this year, due to a full-scale war unleashed by Russia, so many Ukrainians would become glorious volunteers and that they can no longer be counted! These are people of good will who, at the call of the heart, do God-pleasing work \u2013 defend their Motherland, their people,\u201d the OCU Primate wrote on social media.<\/p>\n

According to Metropolitan Epifaniy, all over Ukraine, they are now defending, protecting our common home.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not selfishness, but the capacity for self-sacrifice the Lord Jesus Christ is teaching us that underlies the volunteer movement. And our volunteers on different \u2018fronts\u2019 of Ukrainian life today are the latest world example of true sacrifice for the sake of freedom, truth, for the sake of others. Our dear volunteers! May the Lord protect each of you, give you good health, inexhaustible spiritual and physical strength, patience and courage. We always pray for you.
