On January 22, a delegation of three bishops of the Patriarchate of Alexandria visited Phanar to hand over to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew a letter from the Pope and the Patriarch of Alexandria, Theodore II, officially informing the “Sacred Center about the \u2018contagious\u2019 confusion that befell children born in Christ, faithful Africans, as a result of visible and concealed actions of the Russian Church authorities.”<\/p>\n
