A fire broke out in the icon-painting workshop on the premises of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in Ukraine\u2019s capital Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

As the fire spread to the roof of the affected two-storey building belonging to the monastery, the State Emergency Service<\/a> deployed 13 firefighting crews to tackle the flames.<\/p>\n

Three people were injured in the accident, one of whom reportedly jumped off the window, according to RFE\/RL.<\/a><\/p>\n

The fire was put out in about an hour, the reports read.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the event was also marked by an incident involving an ROCinU priest and a journalist. As the media crew were shooting a report from the emergency scene, the cleric snatched the journalist\u2019s phone, saying it was prohibited to film the fire.<\/p>\n
