survey<\/a> run by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology on May 26 – June 5.<\/p>\n“According to the poll, 85%, Ukrainians now believe (against 78% in December 2022) that the government should intervene in the activities of the UOC MP to one degree or another. In particular, from 54% to 66%, there has been an increase in the share of those who think this Church should be completely banned in Ukraine,” KIIS reported.<\/p>\n
Another 19% are in favor of a somewhat “softer” approach, which does not involve a complete ban, but the establishment of government control and supervision (in December 2022, there were 24% of such respondents).<\/p>\n
At the same time, the share of those interviewed who believe that nothing should be done, and that only certain possible cases of offenses should be investigated, decreased from 12% to 6%.<\/p>\n
The study was run from May 26 to June 5. A total of 1,029 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) were interviewed through phone interviews based on a random sample of mobile numbers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
