{"id":164780,"date":"2023-06-14T11:57:21","date_gmt":"2023-06-14T08:57:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/df.news\/?p=164780"},"modified":"2023-06-14T11:57:21","modified_gmt":"2023-06-14T08:57:21","slug":"court-snubs-uoc-mp-s-motion-to-hold-services-in-lavra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/df.news\/en\/2023\/06\/14\/court-snubs-uoc-mp-s-motion-to-hold-services-in-lavra\/","title":{"rendered":"Court snubs UOC (MP)\u2019s motion to hold services in Lavra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Commercial Court of Kyiv refused to satisfy the claim filed by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) against the National Reserve Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra regarding access to the property of the Lavra complex and the holding of religious services there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">This was announced by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Oleksandr <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/otkachenkokyiv\/3752\">Tkachenko<\/a>, on June 13.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">In the Commercial Court of Kyiv, a hearing was held on the merits in case 910\/423\/23 regarding the claim of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP) against the National Reserve Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for removing the obstacles to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP) in using the property, to allow them to regain access and performing religious services there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">According to Tkachenko, representatives of the Men&#8217;s Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP) did not attend the hearing, and also submitted motions for postponing it, which were rejected by the court as unfounded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">At the same time, the court, having examined the case, ruled to overrule the claims filed by the UOC MP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">&#8220;We have the first, and I believe not the last, victory in court in the matter of returning the property of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to the state,&#8221; minister wrote on Telegram.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Commercial Court of Kyiv refused to satisfy the claim filed by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) against the National Reserve Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra regarding access to the property of the Lavra complex and the holding of religious services there.
