St. George Church in the village Kulchyn of the Lutsk district in Volyn puts up for sale at the auction a number of icons, to then transfer the proceeds to the needs of the Armed Forces.<\/p>\n
Icons from the town of Avdiivka, Donetsk region, will be exhibited at the auction scheduled for May 30 – June 3 on the parish’s Facebook <\/a>page. These not-yet-consecrated images, embroidered by children, were evacuated by Ukrainian servicemen and transported to Volyn, the press service of the OCU\u2019s Volyn Diocese<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n The charity event is being held with the blessing of Metropolitan Mykhailo of Lutsk and Volyn<\/p>\n The amount of donation one is willing to offer for any piece can be put under each of the photos or in private messages on the parish Facebook page until 20:00 on June 3.<\/p>\n The owners of the icons will be able to receive them on Trinity Day, June 4, in the church of Yuri the Victorious in the village of Kulchyn.
