In particular, the pro-Kremlin Vuzrazhdane party voted against the resolution, while those few Bulgarian Socialist Party MPs present in the House did not vote, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrinform.net\/rubric-polytics\/3663564-bulgarian-parliament-recognizes-holodomor-as-genocide.html\">Ukrinform<\/a> reports.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p data-yield-master-placement-inserted=\"\">The Bulgarian Parliament\u2019s decision declared that every final Saturday of November will be a Day of Honour and Remembrance for the victims of the Holodomor.<\/p>\n<p data-yield-master-placement-inserted=\"\">According to the resolution, any denial, justification and belittling of the genocide is a dishonor to the memory of the millions of people who died in the Holodomor.<\/p>\n<p>In the course of debate, several MPs who spoke in favour of adopting the resolution referred to atrocities in Russia\u2019s current war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Parliament of Bulgaria for recognizing the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am thankful to the Bulgarian Parliament for recognizing the 1932-1933 Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. This step commemorates millions of Holodomor victims and restores historical justice.
