That is why a priest was appointed precisely to prevent community transitions to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine by a majority vote at parish meetings.<\/p>\n<p>The official website of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rivne.church.ua\/2022\/08\/29\/priznacheno-kerivnika-viddilu-z-pitan-bezpeki\/\">UOC MP<\/a> reports on the appointment of priest Vasyl Nachev to the position of &#8220;head of the department for security and protection of the rights of Orthodox believers.&#8221; The decision was made &#8220;with the blessing&#8221; of Archbishop Pimen (Voyat).<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that since the onset of the Russian full-scale aggression, more than 550 parishes of the UOC MP have joined the OCU.<\/p>\n<p>See the interactive <a href=\"https:\/\/df.news\/2022\/04\/26\/zapratsiuvala-interaktyvna-mapa-perekhodiv-hromad-do-ptsu-onovliuietsia\/\">map<\/a> of transitions to OCU.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, UOC-MP head Onufriy promoted Bishop Pimen (Voyat) to the rank of archbishop. A month ago, the bishop of the UOC MP in Rivne, Pimen (Voyat), stated that their church is not involved in the &#8220;Russian world&#8221; promotion, and therefore the accusations in this regard are allegedly groundless.
