On February 22, 2023, the Primate of the Autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox Church visited the White Church. Together with Metropolitan Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva, Secretary of the local city council Dmytro Kyryshun, Head of the local military hospital Colonel Andriy Halushka, Officer with the Military Chaplaincy Service Archpriest Oleh Sknar, Archpriest Mykolai Hopaynych, local clergy, war medics and patrons, His Eminence prayed for the recovery of the Motherland defenders and the just victory of Ukraine.

That’s according to the OCU press service.

Metropolitan Epifaniy also handed over to the hospital a powerful power generator purchased with the help of benefactors.

Subsequently, His Beatitude vladyka honored military medics and patrons with church awards, and also visited the shelter where part of the patients and staff of the medical facility were staying during the air raid.

Addressing the audience, the Primate noted that today’s prayer is also a thank you to the Lord for the benevolence, because Ukraine was able to survive Russia’s full-scale assault throughout the year and preserved our unity and state.

In conclusion, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy emphasized that the Ukrainians sincerely seek to live in peace, but are ready to selflessly defend their God-given freedom, and seeing this, the Lord will let the nation celebrate a just victory.
