In Lviv region, OCU head consecrates new majestic temple

In Lviv region’s Solonka community, the consecration of the Transfiguration Church took place today with the participation of the Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy.

This was reported by the regional Council chief Iryna Hrymak and leopolis.news

Nearly 100 priests and bishops of the OCU from all over Ukraine took part in the consecration of the church and iconostasis, and the installation of the throne, the report notes.

It can be seen from the published photos that Metropolitan Makarii, Dimitriy and Simeon attended the consecration.

“I congratulate the Solonki territorial community on the consecration of the temple in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord! This temple is a place of special presence of God. It stands out due to the talent of architects, the builders’ work, the cares of the abbot, benefactors, and the entire community in order to serve as a place of special reverence for the Father of the Universe. Today is a special holiday for this house of God and for all of us who are involved in its construction and consecration, which perhaps only happens once in a lifetime,” said His Beatitude Metropolitan Epipfaniy.

During the consecration, the head of the Lviv Regional Council Iryna Hrymak, deputy of the Regional Council Mykhailo Hychka, head of the community Bohdan Dubnevich, residents of Solonka and surrounding villages, as well as the clergy were present.

It should be recalled that another community transitioned to the OCU in Kyiv region.
