Zelensky: From now on, newly appointed foreign envoys to present credentials at St. Sophia Cathedral

Щn June 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky accepted the credentials of the new ambassadors of the United States, India, and Moldova.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the President’s Office.

The ceremony of handing over credentials to the Ukrainian president took place at the premises of Sophia of Kyiv. According to the President’s Office, this has been established as a new tradition.

“I wish all of you to become ambassadors of your countries to the whole entirety of Ukraine. And when grandchildren and great-grandchildren ask you to tell about the time your worked here, I wish you have memories of visits to Ukrainian Donetsk, Ukrainian Luhansk, and Ukrainian Yalta,” the head of state told the new ambassadors at the ceremony, naming the settlements that are now temporarily occupied by Russia.

It should be recalled that the new U.S. Ambassador Bridget Brink arrived in Ukraine earlier this week and handed over her credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
