Idea of fighting Nazis in Ukraine doesn’t sell anywhere but Russia – Podoliak

The ephemeral idea of fighting Nazis and nationalist battalions in Ukraine as a justification for military aggression against Ukraine is not accepted anywhere in the world. This narrative was designed for the domestic Russian audience, isolated from the rest of the world.

This was stated by the adviser to the head of the President’s Office, Mykhailo Podoliak.

“In my opinion, it’s a bit strange, but Russian high-ranking officials really believe that they are at war with the Nazis and nationalist battalions. This is a surreal story that they came up with for themselves. In this way, they justify their aggressive, essentially terrorist actions in Ukraine, and they still fail to understand that it doesn’t sell, it can’t be sold anywhere except Russia, which they disconnected from all other information zones,” he said in a tweet.

He stressed that the Russian government has cut off the population from the global information space and keeps them “in the trap of fictional history.”

“In other words, they are killing our people, but they are fighting their fears. We are fighting with them for the truth, for the fact that the world is completely different, for the fact that Russian truth does not exist, for the fact that there are no Nazis except the Russian Federation itself, which applies ridiculously faulty techniques. That is why Ukraine is winning on all fronts, Ukraine is being supported by the global community and civilization,” the official explained.

According to Podoliak, there is a modern civilization, which includes Ukraine, where freedom, competition and humanism dominate. “And there is the “world” of Russian high-ranking officials, in which they kill civilians of other countries, because they are still at war with ghostly ‘Nazism,’” he tweeted.
