Ukrainian art critic Kostiantyn Akinsha is convinced that the attack on the headquarters of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv would destroy the St Sophia of Kyiv.
The expert addressed the issue in an interview with DW.
“The Russian command has announced that it will destroy all buildings related to the Security Service of Ukraine. The problem is that the SBU headquarters is literally a few meters from St. Sophia Cathedral – any blow to the SBU will damage the temple. This has not happened yet, but what we see happening around us is appalling,” he said.
Akinsha reminded that the Holy Dormition Cathedral was damaged as a result of the strikes in the center of Kharkiv.
