Ukrainian troops in certain areas of the warzone are not only defending themselves from Russian invaders, but have also launched a counterattack, said Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, Fakty reports.
“In Kharkiv region, the enemy is trying to pursue the offensive from the western direction, while having suffered catastrophic losses. And now the pace is slowing down a lot, so their ‘offensive’ should soon be put in quote marks,” he said.
According to Arestovych, in the direction of Kherson and Mykolayiv, Russian invaders have been trying to advance for the second day already, but are suffering devastating defeats and can boast of no tactical success.
“At night, the enemy launched airstrikes on Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Zhytomyr. But such tactics make no sense from a military perspective. It’s just about intimidating civilians. The only good answer to this question is not to break down and hold on! Each of us is a soldier! We are not only defending ourselves, but also counterattacking,” Arestovych emphasized.
It should be recalled that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, describing the Russian military, said it is no longer the army – it is a crowd of cowards and terrorists. The International Criminal Court is starting to gather evidence of war crimes in Ukraine amid an ongoing Russian invasion.
