On August 12, 2021, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, accompanied by Archbishop Yevstratiy of Chernihiv and Nizhyn, rector of the Little Sophia Church, Archpriest Petro Landvytovych, and Deacon Andriy Sydor, arrived by ferry to Imbros Island. At the port, the guest of honor was greeted with flowers by Metropolitan Kyrillos of Imbros and Tenedos, the clergy, and honorary parishioners.

After that, the head of the OCU arrived at the metropolis cathedral, where a traditional solemn meeting and doxology took place.
Metropolitan Kyrillos expressed joy over the visit of a guest from Ukraine, head of the Autocephalous Church, in order to celebrate in the homeland of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew the 60th anniversary of his priesthood.
In his speech delivered in Greek, Metropolitan Epifaniy thanked Metropolitan Kyrillos for the invitation and the warm welcome and expressed his spiritual joy at participating in the prayer and liturgy on the occasion of the anniversary of the first among Primates of the Orthodox Churches.
After the prayer, friendly communication continued at the residence of the Imbros Metropolis. To commemorate the visit, Metropolitan Epifaniy presented Metropolitan Kyrillos with a panagia and a book about the life of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
