    OCU bishop pays visit to Khmelnytsky’s clinics, hands medics awards

    Bishop Pavlo of Khmelnytsky and Kamyanets-Podilsky, together with the head of the Khmelnytsky Regional State Administration, Serhiy Hamaliy and local health chief Oleksandr Zavrotsky visited the Khmelnytsky Regional Hospital and the Khmelnytsky Anti-Tumor Center.

    As reported by the OCU press service, in his welcoming address, the OCU hierarch emphasized the high importance of the noble job of a physician, which is closely related to such Christian virtues as charity and self-sacrifice.

    It is in the hands of medics, Bishop Pavlo said, to preserve the health and lives of patients who rely on their skills and professionalism.

    Bishop Pavlo wished that the hand of God would always be in the medics’ hands, and that their work would continue to bring relief, healing, and consolation to the people.

    Also with the blessing of the Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epifaniy, the head of the Khmelnytsky diocese awarded the distinguished medics with high church honors.

    The bishop was accompanied by the chancellor of the Khmelnytsky diocese, the rector of the church named in honor of the holy great martyr and healer Panteleimon, Archpriest Leonid Diachenko.
